On Stage In January
In early January 2021, the orchestra and music director Paavo Järvi reunited for the first time since late October 2020 to resume the recordings of the Tchaikovsky cycle, which were cancelled in March 2020.
For this purpose, the CD recording team has travelled to Zurich again, observing all quarantine and Coronatest requirements. At the same time, several concerts will be shown in a livestream.
With the resumption of the Tchaikovsky cycle, we wanted to press ahead with the CD production and complete it as soon as possible. Tchaikovsky's Fifth Symphony, which had already been released in the autumn, was described as extremely engaging, exciting and emotionally powerful by the Media by the media. We wanted to orient ourselves on this and many other perceptions in the press worldwide.
If the direct feedback from the audience after a live concert is already not available to us, the reviews of the past weeks trigger an enormous motivation among the musicians* to continue where we left off. We have to give ourselves a perspective with the highest quality and full orchestra.
