Concert recording: Gershwin's Concerto in F

Wayne Marshall and Paavo Järvi both love jazz: you can't fail to hear that in this recording.

The British pianist, organist and conductor Wayne Marshall was eight years old when he heard George Gershwin's "Concerto in F" on the radio. He then got himself a record and the score and immersed himself in this recording for hours. That was the beginning of his fascination with Gershwin's music, which has not waned to this day - on the contrary, it can certainly be described as a mission. Now he has performed the "Concerto in F", which he has already played in many important concert halls, in Zurich - under the direction of Paavo Järvi, who is also a jazz lover and pursues the same goal with this music as Wayne Marshall: it should groove!
