As the first organist to win a Grammy Award, widely travelled concert musician and sought-after teacher at the renowned Juilliard School, Paul Jacobs is one of the crème de la crème of the organist world. For his Zurich recital, he has put together a programme of works by Bach, Weaver, Mozart, Franck and Charles Ives that will light up the Tonhalle organ with a blaze of colour, culminating in the grandiose sonata "The 94th Psalm" by the early Liszt pupil Julius Reubke.
The Zurich International Organ Festival is curated by Prof. Christian Schmitt and Prof. Tobias Willi in consultation with Prof. Michael Eidenbenz, President of the Friends of the New Zurich Tonhalle Organ Association.
