Romanian conductor Cristian Măcelaru has been a regular guest with our orchestra for several years, while clarinettist Martin Fröst was most recently a focus artist in Zurich in the 2019/20 season. The two will now present the clarinet concerto "Weathered", which the British composer Anna Clyne wrote in close collaboration with Fröst. The five movements are about weathered things: a rusty bridge, for example, a windswept castle or a broken heart. Cristian Măcelaru will conduct Prokofiev's Symphony No. 5, which he has been working on intensively for a long time.
