«classic meets art» goes into the second round

The Tonhalle-Orchester Zürich and Hauser & Wirth Zurich have started a new collaboration this year. The musicians activate the exhibition spaces of the gallery and create an exciting dialogue between art and music. Several times a season, they put together a short programme that relates to the works on display.

At the second concert of "classic meets art", new works from the "Special Character" series by the American artist Lorna Simpson will meet a string quartet from the Tonhalle-Orchester Zürich. Excerpts from works by American composer and guitarist Bryce Dessner, the current Creative Chair of the Tonhalle-Orchester Zürich, will be played.
The setting will be a short introduction to the exhibition and the musical programme, as well as a finale at the bar.
