The Tonhalle-Orchester Zürich and Hauser & Wirth Zurich are launching a new collaboration. The musicians will activate the exhibition spaces of the gallery and create an exciting dialogue between art and music. Three to four times a season, they will put together a short programme that relates to the works on display.
At the first concert of "classic meets art", the works of the Belgian artist Berlinde De Bruyckere in the exhibition "A simple prophecy" meet a string septet from the Tonhalle-Orchester Zürich. Richard Strauss' "Metamorphoses" will be played in a version by Rudolf Leopold – fitting for the artist's works, which partly refer to Ovid's "Metamorphoses". The setting will be a short introduction to the exhibition and the musical programme, as well as a finale at the bar. (Translated with DeepL.com)
