Sat 16. Sep 2023 10.00 Konzertfoyer

BEETHOVEN // OPUS 360 is a virtual reality game that brings the young Beethoven into our time. Among other awards, the game has received the German Computer Game Prize 2023.

On Saturday, 16 September, those interested can try out the game from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Tonhalle Zurich, and a supporting programme will offer even more exciting information about the composer and his life.

Just drop by spontaneously without pre-registration. Some time slots are already fully booked, but we have reserved a few glasses for the spontaneous among you.

What to expect:

  • Put on a pair of VR glasses and end up in a rap battle. The game lasts max. 30 minutes.
  • Enjoy live music from the Loewe Quartet and the battle rapper Sizyphos alias Tristan Steeg from BEETHOVEN // OPUS 360.
  • Experience the two inventors of the game in an interview: In 2018, Arthur and Victor Abs, then 20 and 16 years old, developed the project idea for BEETHOVEN // OPUS 360 with the aim of getting their peers interested in cultural topics and especially Beethoven by means of a VR game.
  • ... and other exciting activities around Beethoven.

The game is recommended for ages twelve and up. You should reckon with about one hour for the entire tour. Admission to BEETHOVEN // OPUS 360 is free.
