This year, the International Organ Festival Zurich starts with a detour to the "old" Tonhalle organ in Neumüster - a resounding encounter with the past. Afterwards, the magnificent Kuhn organ of the Tonhalle Zurich can be experienced in all its sonic splendour. Whether in a spectacular arrangement of Carl Orff's "Carmina Burana" in dialogue with young choir voices, as a subtle chamber music partner at the festive matinee on Organ Night or in the hands of Parisian star organist Olivier Latry: in six events, the Tonhalle organ, played by national and international organists, will once again be presented as a fantastic instrument with a thousand facets.
The International Organ Festival Zurich 2025 is curated by Prof. Christian Schmitt and Prof. Tobias Willi in consultation with Prof. Michael Eidenbenz, President of the Friends of the New Zurich Tonhalle Organ Association.
